1800 rpm / 60 Hz Power Rating

This page covers the 1800 rpm TAG3 configuration. Final generator output depends on the approved engine rating, ECM calibration, alternator efficiency, cooling system and site derating.

DutyGross Mechanical OutputNet Mechanical OutputTypical Electrical OutputApplication
Prime407 kWm (approximately 546 hp)381 kWm (approximately 511 hp)350 kWe / approximately 438 kVAVariable-load operation with extended annual use, subject to the applicable rating standard.
Standby462 kWm (approximately 620 hp)435 kWm (approximately 583 hp)400 kWe / 500 kVAEmergency power when the normal electrical source fails.

The kVA values above assume a typical 0.8 power factor. Standby output should not be used as a continuous base-load rating.

Fuel-Consumption and Site Planning

Fuel consumption varies with load, duty, alternator efficiency, fan demand, fuel properties, ambient temperature and altitude. Use the rating sheet for the approved Build List rather than applying one generic g/kWh figure to every installation.

Planning InputRequired InformationWhy It Matters
DutyPrime or standbyEach rating uses different operating assumptions.
Load profileTypical, minimum and peak electrical loadPart-load fuel use is not proportional to full-load consumption.
AlternatorModel, efficiency and power factorMechanical output and delivered electrical output are not identical.
FuelLocal diesel specification and densityRequired for reliable liters-per-hour calculations.
SiteMaximum ambient temperature and elevationDerating may reduce available output.

Build List, ESN and Replacement Matching

The model name identifies the engine family, but it does not define every fitted component. Use the complete Build List and ESN to verify the rating, ECM, fuel system, cooling equipment, electrical components, flywheel arrangement and replacement parts.

Identification ItemExamplePurpose
Engine model2206D-E13TAG3Identifies the base engine family and TAG3 power node.
Build ListTGDF5082 or TGD5082Identifies the production specification and fitted component combination.
Engine Serial NumberComplete ESN from the dataplateLinks the engine to its individual manufacturing and service record.
Rated speed and duty1800 rpm, prime or standbyPrevents selection of the wrong calibration or output rating.
Dataplate photographClear image of every fieldReduces transcription errors during quotation and parts matching.

TGD5082 and TGDF5082

TGD5082 and TGDF5082 may be encountered as related configuration references, but they should not be treated as universally identical from the numeric suffix alone. Confirm the complete Build List, ESN and applicable part supersessions before approving an engine or component.

2206A, 2206C and 2206D Compatibility

The 2206A, 2206C and 2206D versions occupy different emissions and calibration positions within the wider 2206 platform. Similar displacement and external architecture do not make complete engines, ECMs, injectors or internal parts automatically interchangeable.

Compatibility CheckItems to Compare
Mechanical interfaceMounts, flywheel, housing, coupling, dimensions and alternator alignment
Electrical interfaceECM, harness, starter voltage, charging alternator, sensors and controller connections
Rating1800 rpm, 60 Hz, duty and ECM calibration
CoolingRadiator, charge cooler, fan, enclosure airflow and ambient capability
EmissionsDestination-market requirements and project permit

Any A-to-C, C-to-D or D-to-earlier-generation replacement should be handled as an engineering substitution rather than a direct model-name replacement.

Perkins 2206D-E13TAG3 Replacement Parts

Do not rely on one fixed parts list for every 2206D-E13TAG3. Production changes and superseded part numbers can affect fitment, especially for ECMs, injectors, starters, pumps, sensors and overhaul components.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ElectropaK a complete generator set?

No. ElectropaK is a generator-drive engine package. The AC alternator, controller, base frame, fuel tank, batteries, silencer and enclosure are included only when specifically stated in the quotation.

Are TGDF5082 and TGD5082 automatically interchangeable?

No automatic assumption should be made. Compare the complete Build List, ESN, rating and relevant component supersessions before approving an engine or part.

Can a 2206A or 2206C replace a 2206D directly?

Not from the model name alone. Emissions calibration, ECM, injectors, wiring, mounts, flywheel arrangement, cooling and generator interfaces must all be checked.

Can parts be ordered using only “2206D-E13TAG3”?

The complete Build List and ESN are required for reliable identification. Existing part numbers and component photographs are also useful when available.

Can this engine be used at high altitude or high ambient temperature?

Yes, when the rating and cooling package are selected correctly, but site derating may apply. Provide elevation and maximum ambient temperature before final selection.

Is the lead time always three to four weeks?

No. Lead time depends on stock, engine condition, inspection scope, quantity, documentation and destination. Use the lead time stated in the individual quotation.

What should be checked before commissioning?

Confirm engine identity, oil and coolant, fuel cleanliness, wiring, controller settings, cooling airflow, exhaust back pressure, alignment, protection functions and the approved 1800 rpm / 60 Hz rating.
